As the recession bites and shops fall victim, high streets and town centres risk losing their attractiveness to shoppers, visitors and residents.
Jelly, Reading UK CIC and commercial property agents collaborated with local artists and makers to utilise these blank canvases. Playing on the concept of art both bringing these empty spaces to life and the thought-provoking work showcased, we flipped over the humble closed sign.
We loved the concept behind the Open for Art brand, simple yet memorable playing with the ideas of shops signs and helping us bring empty spaces alive again.
