Founded in 1919, UCEM is the leading provider of supported online education for the Built Environment, through its accredited property-related and construction programmes. We’ve been working with the Research, Innovation and Partnerships department on the design, approach and creative direction of their key stakeholder reports.
The Value of Community report design
In partnership with UCEM, The Prince’s Foundation and Savills, this report reveals a direct link between housing type and social benefits – so-called ‘social capital’. UCEM surveyed 850 residents at Poundbury and Fairford Leys, giving a snap-shot into the benefits of living, working and growing up in this particular type of housing development. We combined all of this research and data into a printed and online report. Distinctive imagery combines with a striking colour palette, typography, graphs and infographics that all work effectively together.
Photography
We commissioned local photographer Sue Castle to capture the Fairford Leys community and to match the existing suite of Poundbury images.
Retirement Housing for Farmers report design
Released by UCEM, The Central Association of Agricultural Valuers, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, Royal Agricultural University and Northumbrian Water Group, this report looks at the impact of access to housing for retiring farmers, new entrants and the subsequent impact on the industry. Following on from an earlier report, we crafted a more confident, cleaner design, with striking infographics, stock imagery and colour palette.
‘Cream Design set high standards from the first engagement to design and production on The Value of Community and Retirement Housing for Farmers reports. Whilst always willing to provide advice they also listened carefully to ensure that we could enhance our report outcomes. They went above and beyond to ensure that the final reports were accessible for our intended audiences.’
Aled Williams, Director of Research Innovation & Partnerships
