We’ve worked with Reading Football Club since we were asked to redesign the club badge by Sir John Madejski. Branding and marketing in the modern game has evolved somewhat in that time as clubs make use of a wide range of media channels to convey their messages to a broad audience.
We redesigned Reading’s club badge when they moved to Madejski Stadium in 1998.
During the close season, we were tasked with revitalising the environment at Hogwood Park. To overcome the modular nature of the buildings, we used a flexible fabric system displaying historical imagery, motivational graphics and footballing records, to radically transform all areas of the training complex.
Marketing a similar offer to the previous season whether the team is pushing for promotion or fighting relegation is our biggest challenge as we design campaigns for replica kit, season tickets, corporate hospitality packages and Christmas merchandise season after season. We make sure fans look and engage again by telling new stories in visually compelling ways.
Football is a broad church and so the variety in visual style is equalled by an extensive use of media. Customer touchpoints include social media graphics, programme advertising, billboards, video screen advertising, Megastore window graphics and website advertising.
‘We can highly recommend Cream Design. They have been creating identities, advertising and printed material for Reading FC for over 20 years. Cream Design visualize and capture what we are trying to achieve extremely well. They are dedicated professionals and are instrumental partners in our continued growth and success.’
