We’ve worked with a variety of people and departments at Reading Borough Council over the years. Here’s a snapshot of four recent projects we’ve worked together on.
What’s On Guide
Showcasing all the fantastic events taking place across Reading in 2019, we created a suite of graphic icons that were used to highlight key activities throughout the programme and across social media.

Team Reading
Our brief was to create a visual representation of the Council’s employer brand: Team Reading, that reflects their aspirations and helps attract and retain great staff. We developed a brand look-and-feel using hexagons, drawing from the Council logo and colour.

Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages
Following their move to the Civic Offices, we were tasked with designing signage to direct Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages clients to the specific area and avoid them joining the main Council reception queue.

Mayor of Reading Charity Fund
Inspiration for the logo came from the Mayor’s official office: Reading Town Hall. The shapes used echo the window construction and decorative brickwork, with the colours drawn from the logos of Cllr Debs Edwards chosen four charities: Berkshire Women’s Aid, Launchpad, YMCA Reading and Berkshire West Your Way.
All design work was donated.

‘The team at Cream did a fantastic job of designing my Mayor’s Charity Fund logo. So much thought was put into the design concept. Taking the famous Reading brick work as an inspiration for the Mayor’s Charity logo and using the colours from my four charities, BWA, YMCA, Launchpad and Berkshire West Your Way, the result is a really eye-catching, creative and iconic design – I am simply thrilled with the results! Thank you Cream Design.’
