Pearson Primary’s flagship publication, the annual Primary Catalogue, was a rather unwieldy beast, which wasn’t conducive to browsing or reflective of Pearson’s move into digital publishing.
We created a landscape catalogue that would show off their products, be it online videos, book spreads or iPad apps at their best; allow for a more navigable layout with clear signposting; and – rather importantly – create real stand-out in the education market. After creating a set of flexible design and photography guidelines for Pearson’s incumbent catalogue designers, we were also charged with the cover and subject divider designs, which resulted in a photoshoot at a local school. Finally we took this new look online and redesigned their email news template. Gold stars all round.
