The challenge

As you’ll agree, Berkshire Association of Clubs for Young People had a name which was a bit of a mouthful and it was often abbreviated to BACYP, which didn’t mean an awful lot to anyone. What was clear was the tremendous work that they did supporting young people and youth clubs across the county; they just needed to look and sound like they were worth investing in.

The solution

We had worked with BACYP for a number of years, but for their rebrand we spoke to several of their stakeholders to make sure that changing their name and developing their brand into something a little more ‘yoof’ was the right thing to do. They unanimously agreed. And so ‘Berkshire Youth’ was born, as were three illustrated characters (after a few wardrobe changes) which are designed to give the organisation a voice to speak to investors and young people alike.

What they said

The team at Cream worked with the volunteers, staff and trustees to identify several name changes and design styles, we agreed on a new way forward and they have helped us with professionalism, flair and style, (but not always on a Monday morning before 10am but that’s artists for you). We now have a clear way forward, a great new brand and design and we look forward to continuing the journey with them.
