The challenge

Berkshire County Blind Society have been supporting the visually impaired since 1910. Unfortunately with a name as long as their history and a logo and marketing collateral which was behind the times, we found that very few people were aware of their tremendous work. And potential clients who weren’t blind, but were in some way visually impaired, either didn’t know the charity assisted them or didn’t want to be labelled as being blind.

The solution

After surveys and consultations with stakeholders, BCBS became the more positive Berkshire Vision. The name suggests dynamism and forethought and, along with the colour wheel, reflects the varying degrees of sight loss the charity supports. Their new mobile friendly website design enables users to change the background colour, text colour and text size. A brand designed to take the charity forward for the next 100 years.
